The Power of Unbelief

Unbelief is a powerful tool in the hands of the enemy. Last night, our church had one of the most powerful moves of God we have experienced to date. Interestingly, the attendance was about 25% lower due to inclement weather. It seemed as though only those who really wanted to be in church were there. Which brings me to the thought, just how many attend church with low expectations, doubt, other agendas and selfish motives. As a student of revival and renewal, I have observed faith and hunger in the lives of those who embrace a new move of God in the Church. May we let go of unbelief, sin and selfishness and welcome what God wants to do in His Church.

Fresh Bread

Last night, during a powerful move of God at our church, I went to the communion table to seek the Lord. For me this act was a bit nostalgic. Some years ago, I was seeking direction for the church I was pastoring in western PA that was considering a new building project and God spoke to my heart and said "go ahead son." That was all I needed to begin building that new church facility. So, there I was last night with both hands on the table seeking direction for our church and within moments hands were laid on my shoulders and back as intercessors took opportunity to pray for me. Suddenly, I heard more than just the prayers of God's people but the distinct voice of prophecy stating to me that the vision was being renewed and would come to pass. I do not believe I ever met this person who shared this prophecy with me but God spoke clearly through him. As I opened my eyes, the first thing I saw was the river man logo that is etched on the pulpit. The river vision is alive and well. This prophetic word was "fresh bread" to this pastor and to our church. Mathew 4:4 - "But He answered and said, "It is written, 'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.'"
