A New Season
Last night my wife and I entered a new season of life. Our youngest daughter Amber moved a tassle on her cap that marked her completion of high school and her beginning of adult life. Eleven years ago God spoke to my heart and told me that I would become the pastor of this church in Enola and I would raise my daughters here and this body of believers would love my family and I. Thank God this promise became a reality. Raising children and especially teenagers is not easy especially in a pastor's home with all the expectations and visibility the position affords. Over the years, only a few forgot that pastor's kids are human beings like everyone else with all the ups and downs of belonging to the human race. The majority have shared the most important gift of all with my family - love - just as God promised. Now our ears are open to whatever God has for us in this new season of life. New seasons are exciting because the opportunities are full of potential and excitement. What season of life are you in? Seize whatever opportunities are before you and never forget that loving God and others is the best way to transition from season to season!
